Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate Recognized with Bridge Builder Award

In the days and weeks beyond Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, members of the Chapel Hill and Carrboro community must ask themselves how they will work to keep King's dream alive. Please consider doing your part by becoming a mentor with the Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate program. You can make a difference in the life of a promising child.

On Sunday, January 16, 2007, Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate was honored with a Bridge Builder Award by the MLK University/Community Planning Corporation. In presenting the award, Ms. Lillian Lee cited BRMA for "recognition of work and leadership to eliminate barriers based on race/ethnicity, religion, and social and economic conditions among the diverse communities of Orange County."
